Notice From Hagerty Insurance Regarding The Canada Post Strike
From Hagerty Insurance
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) strike is now underway, affecting Canada Post operations as of Friday, November 15, 2024.
We’ve made the following changes to our operating processes and recommend a few tips to minimize any disruption. Should the strike last longer than two weeks, these measures may be reassessed.
- Sign up to pay via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) by calling 888-348-8546 or contacting your broker.
- Our website homepage will have information regarding digital solutions for documents and payments. Online banking or credit card payments can be made at hagerty.ca.
General Sales and Service
We will continue to process all sales and service needs relating to your policy. If you have requested printed policies, they will be securely stored with our vendor until mail service returns to normal.
In the event of a required Registered letter, including but not limited to a notice of cancellation, a courier service will be used.
For the time being, we’re happy to reinstate coverage for any customer adversely impacted by the postal strikes on a non-payment of premium notice (e.g. if our final notice was received late).
Claims
Our claims team is making arrangements to pay claims via EFT (individuals only).
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us by calling 888-348-8546 or send an email to
