Good Afternoon, As many of you are likely now aware, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) has initiated a nationwide strike. Mail and parcels will not be processed or delivered for the duration of the strike, and some post offices will be closed. We are pleased to have many digital solutions in place that will minimize the impact on both you and our customers. Premium Payments and Document DeliveryPayment is still required by regular due dates, even if a statement is not received in the mail. We no longer accept written credit card payments, so insureds who pay by cheque will be most affected. To avoid disruptions to their coverage, we highly advise that customers take advantage of our online payment system, EFT, or phone payments. Additionally, this would be a great time to recommend that your clients sign up for MPOI (My Proof of Insurance) to receive their policies, pink cards and communications electronically. More information and instructions on how to sign up can be found here. Policy CancellationsLastly, please note that we have suspended all policy cancellations by registered letter until further notice. As for those that were mailed out prior to the strike and have yet to be delivered, rest assured that we are reviewing tracking activities and will contact your office for further instructions as necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and support. We will communicate further with any relevant updates. |
